Showered with Attention

Recently, I have been showered with attention!  No, not from my husband but from some of you, my Hooligans.  What you can't see is I am blushing like a thirteen year old being asked to her first dance...I'm not used to this much attention...but I certainly love it!!

Anne posted a figure she created of me as a General in the Alliance.  I am an Elven Princess and I possess beauty and elegance. I appreciate the detail Anne used to paint me and the magnificent colors she chose to represent me! She is beautiful.  Check out the link I provided to see all the steps she used to create the figure; it takes a ton of time and patience.  Anne has more patience for detail than I'll ever possess. I adore my figure and am honored that Anne chose to include me in her series.
Dan created a character for me in his Game of Thrones series.  He told me I would be featured but I never expected to play such an important role in the story.  I was completely blown away by the part I played!  I won't spoil it for those of you who haven't read it yet (and if you haven't - what are you waiting for?  It's a fun, quick on-going series).  And, check out my little turtle - how cute is he??  I love him!!
I was also showered with awards (fine, two) and being a bit of a nonconformist, or maybe just a bit of an ungrateful bitch...nah, just a nonconformist, I didn't follow any rules, mostly because they didn't come with any rules and really those are the best kind aren't they?  I simply posted the awards and went about my day.  Now, however, I will pay proper respect to those that awarded me the, um, said awards...thank you lily for presenting me with awards I didn't have to do anything with except slap it on my site and go about my day - you rock - you know how I hate to tag people!!!!!  THANK YOU lily!!!!!!

Be well everyone!

  1. Okay I want a purple finger of excellence. Just because of the name. Congratulations on the award/s though :) I saw both the figure and your part in the story. I'm not quite sure why you only have one eye, but the turtle is cute :3 I loved Anne's figure as well. She's painting one for me too and I can't wait to see it.

    1. I know right, Mark! The name says it all, but you and I both know what lily was really thinking...she wants me to be flipping the world off LOL

I have one eye because my old avatar had one eye...and, well, um, I kinda, sorta stole it from somewhere a long time ago. It's somewhere on this blog called Elsie's Eye in a poem, if you want to see the avi. Pat kept making fun of my one eyeball and then eventually made me a cyclops and then Dan was kind enough to keep the tradition going.... *sigh* At least Anne made me sexy....

I can't wait to see your figure too!! She spends so much time on all of them.

  3. Pffft I think they got it wrong and you need to move that finger over a spot or two hahahaha or maybe with your one eye, you just can't see it how it truly is.

All these suck ups geez, the cat can't take it hahaha oh and see still putting off the gold loo, photoshop must be hard to learn huh? hahahaha

    1. Cat, cat, cat. When will you learn not to mess with General Elsie, We will make an award for you. IT will be the golden Pringle can of poo award and we won't be sucking up because the Alliance never sucks up to the feline offender.

    2. I agree Pat, the finger should be moved over a space or two! That would be the true me!! Especially to the Canadian tourists you keep sending my way...(just kidding!!)

Anne, I think sending the cat any kind of an award is a bad idea...it will only encourage the wretched thing...or, wait...a Pringle can...can we shove it..yes, yes, maybe we can...good thinking Anne!!

    4. Well there is plenty of space and the cat will just fill it up easier and forgo the litter box altogether. See you are just making life easier for me with your pringle can award, thanks!

  4. my computer is messing up again so i'm going with all lower-case letters. it's driving me bonkers.

thanks for posting her. to date that's been the hardest figure i've had to paint. i stripped the paint on her four times to get the highlighting on that skirt just right. she was a labor of love though because i did her for you.

you had to have someone who would give you two eyes. you'll never live that avi down you know that don't you.

congratulations on the awards my friend.

    1. Ugh, you poor thing, that computer is giving you fits!

I'm torn knowing that she was difficult to paint and that she was a labor of love for you. She is so beautiful and the detail on the paint work is outstanding. The improvement with each new piece you do is evident. I love her so very much!!

I am so grateful I had someone give me two eyes!!!! Between Pat and Dan I am doomed as a cyclops for life LMAO!!

Dangit, cat!! I'm forever doomed to be one-eyed now!! But, yeah, it is so me LOL

  11. Think I'm more likely to get the middle finger of denial than the purple finger of excellence... I'm with Mark what a great name for an award - but I'm off now with other colour finger awards in my head...

    Green Finger award for cultivation
    Black Finger award for morbidness

    etc.

    1. LOL - nah, you'd get the finger of excellence, Mr. F!! I know you would. Just look at all you've dong and all you're doing with your music career alone! You inspire me to keep on writing..you truly do.

I like the Green Finger for cultivation; Black Finger for morbidness...hmmm, how about zombies????
