Summer of Elsie

It has begun!  What?  You didn’t know?  How could you guys not know?  I thought all of you were my Hooligans *gasp*  I’m just in shock!  Utter, no, wait, that’s for cows, Udder, no, that’s the one for cows, damn it to hell!  Whatever!!  I’m trying to act very, over-the-top surprised here – that you don’t know, The Summer Of Elsie has begun!!

Seriously?  You don’t even know what the Summer Of Elsie is?  Oh, um, my bad.  Sorry about that.  I guess I should maybe explain then.  Uh, yeah.  Okay.  Here it is, then:

It’s all about ME!! (When isn’t it, right?)  Yep.  I decided to take the summer off and focus on me.  Yeah, it’s pretty much been in effect for the last few weeks or so but now it’s going to be all official and stuff because the kids begin their summer break this week.

I’ll be working in the garden like I did today, see:

Or taking my youngest to the beach or the pool or I’ll be working on my book or my blog, or my steps...whatever…it’s just the Summer Of Elsie.  Time to chillax.

Seriously though, I’ll be on Blogger in the mornings but I won’t be writing as many posts as I normally do (lucky you!).  I’ll still visit everyone’s blogs in the mornings or in the evenings. I simply won’t be here during the day anymore.

Unless I’m down with a Migraine – then I’m like a plague…you can’t get rid of me!!

Happy Summer Of Elsie everyone - I mean Happy Summer everyone!!

    1. she/he said the same thing to me at my place :) This could be R's twin, or the ebil cat is behind this too.

    2. Uh oh...I said it was R's twin too. The cat tricked me into agreeing it was Anne playing games with us. Evil, evil cat!!

  2. Pfft the cat gets to lounge around all year long and it is always about the cat, no matter the season. So the cat is still three up on you. See, you can't win, ever!

Now poor Pat wishes he could do such a thing, but unless he wins the lottery at our wing, we are screwed, so to you Pat gives a how rude!

Serves you right if you get a big sun burn and yes we all knew what it was, you were just trying to stretch it out and make it long, like I am doing here. Beats "This is Great" though, which that nut posts on every single blog around.

    1. Get bent cat! May you be riddled with fleas this summer and need to be dipped at your bay!

I need to win lotto! We had to cut back on all sorts of stuff for me to lounge about this summer - but we decided it was well deserved after all I had been through this last year and a half =)

Of course in order to win lotto, you have to be in it!

Oh, I got burnt already this summer - now it's smooth tanning all the way!!!

Yeah, I see Come At Me Bro as the replacement for R who I think is YOU or Anne???

      Delete
    2. Well if you win before me, remember to share, then the cat will be nice to you all the time at your lair..haha

I think being burnt would be an improvement to me, as I'm so white the wall has jealousy.

Come at Me Bro has been around a long time, always coming back to say the exact same thing, spammer big time, at least R switched it up and it is Anne.

    3. I will share with all my favorite friends! Cat not included ha ha ha!

Awww, poor Pat, my daughter has the same problem. I have to glob all sorts of sunscreen on her or she'll burn so she's as white as a ghost.

I saw Come At Me Bro when I first started blogging and was so excited because she/he was one of my first hits...then I realized it was just spam =( but wait...maybe it's Anne!!!

    4. Well as long as you share with Pat, the cat can live with that..haha

I was in the sun for days in NY and nothing, I'm just a ghost I guess.

Could be Anne, as it takes less skill to be Come At Me Bro than R..hahaha

  9. It is a pretty good idea to take some time for yourself. I should probably do it myself but I'm no good at that kind of thing. I can't even treat myself. It makes staying motivated hard sometimes. Then again I was never motivated to begin with technically. Enjoy your summer of Elsie, Elsie :)

    1. It's very hard to stay motivated. I actually have to talk to myself to close the laptop or get off Blogger or whatever.

You should treat yourself, Mark! Everyone deserves to be treated to something sometimes!!

      Thank you!!

  10. Now this is the way it should be. Time, time to slow down, down for yourself, time for your daughter, time at the beach and time to write. I'm going out here in a few hours to be in my garden as well. We only go around once, so enjoy the ride!!

    1. Hi Anne, good to see you in blog world.

    2. That's it exactly, Anne. When life hits you with something big sometimes you have to step back and breath. Step back and pause and enjoy what life really has to offer. Yes, this is financially going to set me back for a bit but you know what? It will be worth it because this will be the last summer I will have my three kids in one place at one time. This is it. Forever. My last chance to enjoy all three of them, so, I'm biting the financial bullet and I'm doing it. Breathing in the sun and the sand =)

  13. sounds like a plan, Elsie!
I will be spending mine in a memorable way - first recovering from my Borg surgeries, and then moving :) Methinks I will need a winter off to recover from it all :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I hope this is it for the Borg surgeries...the Alliance can't think of anymore upgrades you need - you're perfect!!!

Moving can be lots and lots of fun!! Can we stuff the cat into a crate and forget about him?? Pleeze???

You can recover from everything here in the winter where it's warmer =)))

      Delete
    2. cat's crate will be accidentally on purpose sent to Kongo or some country in which cats are considered a tasty dish.

      Delete
    3. I love the idea of sending the cat off to the Kongo!! What a fantastic idea, Dezz!!

      Delete
    4. me is always fantastic :) Now, go on and bribe the custom officers, and try to see if they can put his crate next to pooping piggies in the plain :) We want a pleasant flight for our ebil cat.

      Delete
    5. You got it, Dazzling Dezzy! Payment will be made and the evil cat will be spending a long flight over the ocean to the Kongo next to pooping piggies and peeing Pitta birds =)

  14. A summer all to yourself, gardening and writing books?

I don't think I have to tell you that's like a dream to me. And yes, I garden, but I grow vegetables because you can't eat flowers.

We ever going to see a sample of this book?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You can eat flowers! They don't taste good, and well, they can kill you...just saying...

I did a small sample of the book on my other blog and never brought it over because I was embarrassed LOL but it was actually some comments people made that inspired me to write it....I guess I could post it again LOL

Seriously, it's not a book I'm going to publish. Yeah, I know that's what all people say right? It's a book I'm writing for me. Just to see if I can. Then if I like it, I'll go from there. It takes any pressure off of me, I guess...plus, I don't know a damn thing about writing so whatever, I'm doing it "just because"....quit laughing dammit!! =)
